Scientology Mission of Halifax · Nova Scotia
We built something remarkable.
Help us bring it home.
After 50 years of presence in Atlantic Canada, the Halifax Mission has a new challenge — and a clear path forward. We need your help to reclaim our building and secure our future.
Our story
The Halifax Mission has been a home for Dianetics and Scientology in Atlantic Canada since the early 1970s. Over five decades we've grown from rooms in people's homes to a fully renovated, purpose-built centre — with a GAT II-trained staff team, a policy-standard purification centre, and more auditing delivered than ever before.
Then our building changed hands. The new owners want to charge rent we simply cannot sustain. So rather than accept that loss, we're doing something about it: we're buying it back.

The building
Our former home on Joseph Howe Drive — a high-traffic, rapidly developing corridor — is exactly what a growing mission needs. It was built for us. We built it for the public we serve.
- 3,828 sq ft of fully renovated, purpose-built space
- 3 auditing rooms + spacious theory and practical courserooms
- Full purification centre with policy-standard sauna, newly equipped
- Div 6 reception, admin space, café, and secure PC folder vault
- Appraised at $875,000 — a prime location in a growing area
This $300,000 renovation — completed 2019–2021 through the extraordinary dedication of Nancy and RB Cameron — took years of planning, permitting, and confront to complete. We're not starting over. We're reclaiming what's already ours.
The goal
$1,100,280 CAD
To purchase the building and secure a permanent home for the Halifax Mission — and for all of Atlantic Canada.
We serve Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland & Labrador. For millions of people across four provinces, this Mission is the only access point. Without a stable home, that access is at risk. With it, this Mission becomes the foundation for the first Ideal Org in Atlantic Canada.
Why now
Our tech team is nearly complete. Our latest trainee arrived at Flag in February 2026. We have a new, very driven mission holder who is a successful enterpreneur and a trained registrar and has an impressive track record in sales and dissemination. Our public inflow is growing. The Halifax Mission is playing to win — and the momentum is real. What we need now is the ground beneath our feet.
Every dollar raised goes directly toward purchasing the building. No renovation unknowns, no starting from scratch — just reclaiming a space that was built for exactly this purpose.

“The Mission is what made me a Scientologist. The care and persistence that went into handling me and guiding me onto the correct path are what lead to me being where I am today. They knew exactly what next step I needed to take, and handled me correctly with the tech. I cognited fully and became a Scientologist while at the mission. I am now Clear and taking responsibility for all dynamics” - Jessica Cadman ED, Ottawa Org
"Halifax Mission represents the the only gateway onto The Bridge for the Atlantic Provinces of Canada. As I am from there, that means a lot to me." - Simon Hare CO SMI Canada/ CO Ihelp Canada
“The Halifax Mission is a safe space for anyone to come to. It has helped me immeasurably over the years. So many people have come through these doors and went on to Orgs, AOs and Flag! Also many people have joined staff here, in Orgs and the Sea Org. All of the staff have been trained at Flag. The people here are so fortunate to have this beautiful Mission.” - Nancy Cameron Halifax Staff Class V auditor and New OTVIII
“I helped with putting the Halifax mission there stably in 1981 and its growth till ’88 when I turned over my hats. Experiencing the years of growth since has been a real win! It is stability for an area that's about a 1000 miles from the nearest Org. The team there has done an incredible job! - Sheila Bulger New OTVIII and Power FSM UK
“I am grateful for the Mission and how it has helped me develop my communication skills. What I've learned has been essential to the great relationships that I enjoy with my family, and the change for me was like putting on glasses for the first time and seeing things clearly at last” - Jonathan Roode
“It was never so real to me how badly the public needs Scientology as it became during the Pandemic. One day, after hearing from a family member about all of the insanity and ridiculous wrong answers being swallowed by them and other family members, I knew there was only one place I could go to NOT be surrounded by this kind of zombification and it was Halifax Mission. I mean it when I say getting back on staff has saved my life and my eternity.” - Sarah Hare Halifax Staff PES
“Halifax mission is my stable point in life. I've been on staff since 2009. I have been able to get Flag Trained as a Course Supervisor. I love helping this theta team to create Scientologists and to be able to get auditing here at home. I am aiming for an Ideal Mission first! But the real goal is an Ideal Org for Halifax. Which is the only Mission for the Four Atlantic Provinces! Thinking big! Nothing can stop us!” - Jennifer St.George Halifax Mission GATII Supervisor
“The Mission has provided a place for me to find a community that’s like a family, a community of people that I instantly have a shared reality with. I have a place where I can study, go up the Bridge, and get better in all my dynamics. Here I can find the solution to any problem - work, kids, my relationships - and the conditions of all of them have drastically improved since coming in to the Mission. It is truly our beacon of light in Atlantic Canada!” - Silvia Revenco
Being on staff at the Halifax Mission for 14 years has not only saved my life but has helped me fulfill my true purpose: Saving other beings and helping reverse the dwindling spiral - Amber Verneuille Halifax Mission Holder/ED
“Our mission is such a beautiful and safe space. Our team is so caring. We are the only candle of real hope from here to Quebec City. Real solutions are being offered here. It's a treasure. I'm very glad it exists.” - Mariette Howey
“The Mission is a perfect little oasis in Nova Scotia and factually the only Scientology within a thousand miles. When I lived there, it helped provide the needed stability and training to keep me on source in my business and productive!” - David Verneuille
“The Halifax Mission has been a stable point in my life for the past 8 years. It's a place where I can go and feel comfortable being myself. I've laughed, cried and grown so much here! Without Scientology and the Halifax Mission, I'm certain I wouldn't be the person I am today. I owe a lot of credit to this space and these people for helping me become the best version of ME!” - Erin Spencer
“The Halifax mission has connected me to the most amazing people who have helped me navigate, get through, and grow at a very difficult time in my life. The people and the technology offered through this Mission saved my life and changed it for the better. It will surely change many others' lives too. To describe Halifax Mission with one word: Invaluable.” - Michelle Gaudet
